Millennial Star

Millennial Star

A few months ago a fellow named Bruce Nielson commented on my review of Brian Hales’ books, asking me to contact him.

I called Bruce, and we chatted at length while I wandered around Dulles airport waiting for a ride home. I think I had just gotten home from Asia this past December.

Anyway, Bruce and I exchanged some e-mails, and he convinced me to come be a blogger over at Millennial Star, one of the myriad blogs in the “Mormon Bloggernacle.”

Bruce introduced me in a rather flattering way in his post “Introducing Meg Stout!

Obviously my musings here on my personal blog get read from time to time – enough to be “Polygamy researcher, Meg Stout…” and the pleased recipient of the occasional non-spam comment. But it is a bit fun to post over on a site where the titles, at least, get picked up and spread to aggregators, etc. Sometimes we even get into heated discussions. Those are fun, when I have time.

For now I’m content to simply blog about this stuff over there. But if I ever get concerned about the integrity of that site, I may decide to bring my blog babies home to live here as well.

Until then, enjoy checking out my series about A Faithful Joseph and more recently a series I’m starting titled Surviving 2030.

Hey, I wanted to comment here rather than over at the Millennial Star because I am a bit shy about getting into the debate and I didn’t really have anything to add. Thank you for your May 30th article. You are obviously very intelligent and articulate your thoughts concisely and logically. I know that you must be having a great impact. I think the lack of dissenting or derogatory comments shows that your points are sound and irrefutable. You are a champion in so many ways…keep it up!

Hi Meg. I wandered over here from MStar and went back and read your Surviving 2030 post, which I had missed the first time around. I found it very enlightening and will look into the topic more. I am amazed at how much water goes into a hamburger. I’m also going to look for your Dummies book, because that sounds like it could be fun.

On a completely different front, I’m sure you saw the 6th “Conversation” came out a couple of days ago …
